Use Norway's medicine search

EMA's list of national registers links to the Norwegian medicine search. Check the exact product, ingredient, strength and dosage form before you trust a seller's claim. A European regulatory decision may apply without meaning immediate stock or reimbursement in Norway. For newer oral medicines, ask for the Norwegian product record. A UK approval or a foreign pharmacy listing is not enough evidence.

Sort out local care and payment

Ask a Norwegian clinician which treatment options fit your indication and history. Confirm separately whether the cost will be covered, whether prior approval applies and which records are needed. If you pay yourself, ask for a full quote including appointments and dispensing. A starter-pack price does not show the cost of continuing treatment, especially if your clinician later changes your strength or follow-up schedule.

EEA membership does not mean unrestricted import

Check Norway's current personal import and travel rules for your medicine and how you plan to bring the medicine in. Carrying treatment in your luggage and ordering by post are different transactions. A retailer elsewhere in Europe may not be able to complete your shipment lawfully. If the plan is unclear, ask the relevant authority before you pay, and keep written replies with your travel or purchase documents.

Prepare for remote places and cold weather

If you travel away from major towns, arrange supply and follow-up before you leave. Ask the pharmacist how to store your product in your planned accommodation and transport. Protect the medicine from freezing as well as from excessive heat. Keep a treatment summary and the service's contact details available offline. If travel disrupts your dosing schedule, contact the prescriber for product-specific advice. Never double a later dose.

Before you buy in Norway

Check the current entry in the Norwegian medicine search before you buy. Confirm the exact product and indication for Mounjaro, Wegovy injection, Wegovy tablets or Foundayo. In Norway, approval, prescription, reimbursement, stock and personal import permission each need their own answer.

  • Ask a Norwegian clinician which product is right for you and whether your treatment history is enough for an assessment.
  • Ask for the full price, covering consultations, dispensing and delivery, before agreeing to ongoing treatment.
  • Keep identifiable packaging, the prescription and the dispensing record. Speak to the pharmacist about any damaged parcel or uncertain storage before you use the medicine.

Sources

Your own medicine leaflet and prescriber come first. A source from another country does not mean the same rule applies in the UK.
