Confirm the Turkish product and how it is supplied
Ask a locally licensed clinician or pharmacist to show you the Turkish product authorisation and the exact medicine they plan to supply. Check the active ingredient, formulation, strength and manufacturer. Box colour or an English brand description is no guide. The current Turkish authorisation of every GLP-1 brand is not confirmed in our sources. A missing confirmation does not mean the ingredient is banned.
A pharmacy visit is no full assessment
Tell the clinician about your medical history, current medicines and any previous GLP-1 treatment. If you are continuing therapy, give your last dose, current strength and any gaps. A product on the shelf is not proof the medicine suits you, or that a foreign prescription will be accepted. Ask for a written plan and find out who will help you once you leave Turkey.
Check the rules at both borders
Before you carry a medicine into Turkey, read the current official travel guidance and ask the relevant Turkish authority if anything is unclear. Before you take a purchase home, check your destination's import rules as a separate step. A Turkish pharmacy receipt does not settle US, UK, Japanese or any other entry rules. Posting a medicine and carrying it yourself may be treated differently, so describe exactly how it will travel when you ask for advice.
Price, authenticity and storage
Compare the full cost of consultation, medicine and ongoing support. A holiday price alone tells you little. Keep the invoice, dispensing label and original packaging. Ask how to protect the medicine during airport transfers and the flight, and where to get it checked if it gets too warm or freezes. Never buy unlabelled products, or products sold as research peptides, to treat yourself.
Confirm the product with the Turkish authority before you buy
Check the exact product and its approved use with Turkey's national medicines authority before buying Mounjaro, Wegovy injection, Wegovy tablets or Foundayo. Approval, clinical suitability, reimbursement, stock and permission to take medicine home all need checking one by one.
- Ask a clinician in Turkey which product suits you and whether your treatment history is enough for an assessment.
- Get a full quote covering consultations, dispensing and delivery before you agree to ongoing treatment.
- Keep the packaging, prescription and dispensing record together. If the medicine was damaged or got hot or cold in transit, ask a pharmacist before you use it.
Sources
Your own medicine leaflet and prescriber come first. A source from another country does not mean the same rule applies in the UK.
