Oceania countries and territories
The groups below help you find the right place. Countries in the same group do not share medicine rules.
- Detailed guides: Australia and New Zealand.
- Pacific countries: Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
- Other destinations with their own checks: Cook Islands, Niue, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Tokelau, Wallis and Futuna, and Pitcairn Islands. Their political and customs arrangements differ.
Australia and New Zealand run separate systems
The Australian TGA and New Zealand Medsafe run different access and import systems. An Australian registration says nothing about New Zealand authorisation.
Australia asks for a local prescription under one import scheme. Do not assume New Zealand or any other country works the same way. Read the country guide for your exact product and situation. Both countries mention three months in places, but the conditions behind that figure differ.
Check each Pacific destination on its own
For an island destination, find the national or territorial health authority. Ask about the medicine you use. Confirm whether you can get it locally and whether you may bring your current supply.
A territory linked to a larger country may still have its own dispensing, funding and customs rules. Give the authority your itinerary, the quantity you plan to carry and the presentation.
Plan for long flights and remote stays
Long flights, remote accommodation and few replacement options make planning worth the effort. Before you leave, ask your doctor which records to carry and where to get help if travel delays disrupt treatment.
Ask the pharmacist how to keep your exact product at the right temperature. A hotel or boat may not have a suitable fridge. Protect your pens from freezing as well as from heat.
Compare the full cost of local treatment
For treatment in the country, name the prescriber and the pharmacy. Confirm the product record, the full cost and the follow-up plan. Public subsidy is decided apart from registration.
If you are thinking about an overseas parcel, check the destination's import rules before you pay. Ask how the pharmacy deals with delays and temperature problems. Permission to import does not make the treatment right for you, and it does not vouch for the seller.
Confirm product status before you buy or travel
The lists above do not confirm local authorisation of Mounjaro, Wegovy injection, Wegovy tablets or Foundayo in each place. Where a product's status is unclear, treat it as unconfirmed. Do not read it as a ban.
Use official sources and a local clinic to settle the remaining questions before you buy or travel.

Your own medicine leaflet and prescriber come first. A source from another country does not mean the same rule applies in the UK.
